Our Story.

In 2009, the Bethlehem Mounted Patrol was reintroduced to the community after being absent for 63 years. Shortly after in 2012, Friends of the Bethlehem Mounted Police (FBMP) was formed with the mission to provide horses to the unit and financially support them, relieving the taxpayers of any burden for their care. Since that time, the FBMP, with generous corporate and community support, completed construction on their state-of-the-art home at the Quadrant Private Wealth Stable Facility, where the herd continues to live, thrive, and grow.

With a hearty clip-clop, the horses and their officer-partners patrol the city, protecting residents and visitors alike. As unofficial ambassadors to the community, together they strengthen the bond between community and law enforcement by providing a unique interaction. Smiles abound with each meeting and, for a moment, the present day echoes memories of long ago.

Our Home - Quadrant Private Wealth Stable Facility.

The property includes an 8-stall stable building, 10 acres of paddock/pasture area, 2 outdoor shelters, an annex for educational programming and storage, and a training arena for the horses and officers to train on property. The entire facility was constructed without the use of taxpayer money through donations and sponsorships. The maintenance and upkeep of the horses and facility is covered by Friends of the Bethlehem Mounted Police without financial burden to the taxpayers of Bethlehem.

The stable building provides a dedicated, climate-controlled command center for officers on the second floor. The stable floor houses several stalls for the Unit’s horses. It has a meeting room and a public atrium which allows for viewing into the stable area. Rounding out the stable floor is a tack room with washer and dryer, and a wash/groom stall.

Friends of the Bethlehem Mounted Police along with the Mounted Patrol Officers would like to thank all contributors for their generosity in helping this dream move toward a reality.
